Pink Panther and DePatie-Freleng Cartoons entry date: Oct 4, 2004 PINK PANTHER AND DEPATIE-FRELENG CARTOONS theatrical release dates: Dec 18, 1964-Feb 1, 1980 later airdates: 1992-1995 on TNT and Cartoon Network, 1998-1999 on Cartoon Network, June 25, 2005-present on Boomerang number of shorts: 256 animated by: DePatie-Freleng Productions distributed and owned by: United Artists & MGM commentary: DePatie-Freleng was the last new animation studio to produce theatrical cartoons. Up from the ashes of the closing of Warner Bros' animation studio in 1963, David DePatie and Friz Freleng opened their own. They produced the opening credits for the Pink Panther film and it was so popular a series of shorts followed and the rest is history. The Pink Panther was silent through his run until the ill-faded 1993 TV show. Other cartoon characters soon followed the Pink Panther including the Inspector (from the Pink Panther films), Roland and Rattfink, Tijuana Toads, the Ant and the Aardvark and more. The Pink Panther ended his run in 1980, but continued his popularity in tv shows and merchandising. series: AA=The Ant and the Aardvark (1969-1971) BR=Blue Racer (1972-1974) DF=The Dogfather (1974-1976) IN=The Inspector (1964-1969) HK=Hoot Kloot (1973-1974) PP=Pink Panther (1964-1980) RR=Roland and Rattfink (1968-1971) TT=Tijuana Toads (1969-1972) EPISODE GUIDE #001 PP The Pink Phink (12.18.1964) 1st Pink Panther cartoon #002 PP Pink Pajamas (12.25.1964) #003 PP We Give Pink Stamps (02.12.1965) #004 PP Dial 'P' For Pink (03.17.1965) #005 PP Sink Pink (04.12.1965) #006 PP Pickled Pink (05.12.1965) #007 PP Pinkfinger (05.13.1965) #008 PP Shocking Pink (05.13.1965) #009 PP Pink Ice (06.13.1965) #010 PP The Pink Tail Fly (08.25.1965) #011 PP Pink Panzer (09.15.1965) #012 PP An Ounce of Pink (10.20.1965) #013 PP Reel Pink (11.16.1965) #014 PP Bully For Pink (12.14.1965) #015 IN The Great DeGaulle Stone Operation (12.21.1965) 1st Inspector cartoon #016 IN Reaux, Reaux, Reaux Your Boat (02.01.1966) #017 IN Napoleon Blown-Aparte (02.02.1966) #018 PP Pink Punch (02.21.1966) #019 IN Cirrhosis of the Louvre (03.09.1966) #020 PP Pink Pistons (03.16.1966) #021 IN Plastered In Paris (04.05.1966) #022 PP The Pink Blueprint (05.25.1966) #023 PP Pink, Plunk, Plink (05.25.1966) #024 PP Smile Pretty, Say Pink (05.29.1966) #025 IN Cock-a-Doodle Deux-Deux (06.15.1966) #026 IN Ape Suzette (06.24.1966) #027 PP Pink-a-Boo (06.26.1966) #028 IN The Pique Poquette of Paris (08.25.1966) #029 PP Genie With the Light Pink Fur (09.14.1966) #030 IN Sicque!
